The Delaware Beef Advisory Board is a six member organization comprised of beef producers from the state of Delaware.
The Board receives and administers the assessment from the Beef Promotion and Research Act of the 1985 Farm Bill and the United States Department of Agriculture, 1986 Beef Promotion and Research Order.
Half of every $1.00 collected remains in the state and is used to strengthen the beef industry’s position in the marketplace. The other half is utilized in a national effort to develop programs implemented by the states. Check-off funds are used for marketing and promotion, consumer education, and public relations. Each year, the Board also receives a grant from the Delaware Department of Agriculture.
